Knit Wit
October 6, 2011
I came across the knitwear of London-based designer Jenny Postle on Fanny Bostrom‘s blog the other day and felt like I had been transported to a far out world of arts and crafts. Jenny studied at Central Saint Martins and her debut collection for Fall 2011 is comprised of colorful yarns and textiles that are manipulated to create real works of wearable art in the form of patchwork and serious knitwear. Her aesthetic is pretty remarkable and feels like an art project, and also reminds me a little of Nick Cave’s SoundSuits. Have a look below.
