I read in a recent issue of WWD about a new book dedicated to female pioneers from around the world and I immediately became intrigued. I am so inspired by powerful women who make a mark and even more inspired when they are celebrated for doing so. Written by Angella M. Nazarian, Pioneers of the Possible: Celebrating Visionary Women of the World, tells the stories of 20 women including Frida Kahlo, Martha Graham, Simone de Beauvoir, Ella Fitzgerald, Conchita Cintron and others who overcame odds or were “the first” in their fields. The book is published by Assouline with a few photos below.

ooooh! this book sounds right up my alley!
it’s going on my wish list!
