Filmmakers Ben Wu and David Usui have created a series of short “stories” titled, This Must be the Place. They explore and capture the homes and personalities of various individuals to get an idea of how people are living.  Rather than focusing on the interior design aspect, they give viewers a more intimate glimpse of their subjects as shown here in the first short from their series, exploring the home of Korean assemblage artist Chong Gun Byun.  I am so enraptured by this man and his love and admiration for all of his tchotchkes and works of art.  I don’t know if Ben and David took the title This Must be the Place from the Talking Heads song, but it’s genius.  I’m really looking forward to their next subject.
